Abstract: The aim of this study is to identify the factors which affect the decision of setting up new business in Greece, as well as identifying parameters associated with entrepreneurship in the period of the economic crisis. In this study, through a critical review of the literature and primary research, an analysis of a set of variables regarding enterpreneurship takes place, such as the sources of business financing, the institutional environment, as reflected in the role of clusters and business education, as well as the incentives entrepreneurs have in order to set up a business in the current conditions. The study shows that entrepreneurship is not a fixed condition, but a dynamic process, it is the most important source of potential growth, given that public expenditure have been cut significantly, and private consumption has shrunk.

Abstract: Small-scale farmland water conservation facilities are “the last mile” of irrigation works, and determine whether the large- and medium-scale water conservation projects financed by the government will provide the most value and maximum efficiency. Farmers play a primary role in the construction of small-scale farmland water conservation, while the government’s role is only to encourage and subsidize such projects. Farmers’ willingness to participate determines their behavior. This paper, firstly, uses a utility function for goods and water conservation facilities to solve the farmers’ optimization problem. It puts forward six theoretical propositions about farmers’ willingness to invest in small-scale farmland water conservation. Secondly, based on survey data in Hubei Province, China, the Heckman Two-step Model is used to analyze the factors affecting farmers’ willingness to participate in construction of small-scale irrigation systems and the factors affecting the amount of investment that participants are willing to undertake.

The main objective of this paper is to investigate if the implementation of China foreign direct investment in Rwanda will have a positive effect in the country. In this paper, we survey some theoretical and empirical literature on the motive and determinant of Chine FDI. Strategic, behavioral and economic consideration appears to the basic motivations for FDIs. In fact the main determinants of FDIs consist of market size variable, labor market conditions, institutional variables, macroeconomic policy variable and global supply of FDIs. This paper states contribution of China FDI’s to economic development of Rwanda and the mainly highlights the tangible benefits that FDI’s produces both in China and Rwanda. Finally we will propose policy suggestion for Rwanda to attract better and utilize FDI’s from China. This paper is no doubt a contribution to the existing literature on FDI and would therefore guide policy reforms on China FDI’s in most developing countries especial in Rwanda.
